Natural cork is a quickly renewable product with many unique features to offer. It is softer underfoot than hardwood, and yet more resistant to denting or gauging. Cork can be installed in squares glued directly to the subfloor, but it is also available on click-together panels and installs just like a laminate floor. Expansion and contraction is minimal, and cork has the rare ability to "rebound" from impacts (dents from impacts are often gone the next day).
Cork comes in a wide variety of colors and styles, the newest of which are long planks with surface textures and deep stains. Cork can be used in any area that you would consider installing hardwood or laminate, and it is one of the easiest floors to live with, especially for your feet.
